ΣΥΝΘΕΤΗ ΟΝΟΜΑΣΙΑ ΓΙΑ ΤΑ ΣΚΟΠΙΑ ΠΟΥ ΘΑ ΠΕΡΙΕΧΕΙ ΤΟΝ ΟΡΟ «ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΙΑ» ΔΕΝ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΛΥΣΗ

Εξοχότατοι κύριε Πρόεδρε και κύριε Πρωθυπουργέ, και
αξιότιμοι κύριοι υπουργοί και βουλευτές,
μολονότι ο «Μακεδονισμός» των Σκοπίων φαίνεται να καταρρέει, δεν εκλείπει ο κίνδυνος αναβίωσής του από την μεριά των βορείων γειτόνων μας, όπως δείχνουν κάποιες μεθοδεύσεις στο παρασκήνιο. Σας θυμίζουμε τις πρόσφατες εκδηλώσεις της αυτοαποκαλούμενης «Μακεδονικής Διασποράς» στο Τορόντο, όπου διπλωμάτες της Σκοπιανής κυβέρνησης φωτογραφήθηκαν κάτω από χάρτες της«Ενωμένης Μακεδονίας» (πράγμα που έχουν κάνει επανειλημμένα και στο παρελθόν), ενώ ο Σκοπιανός Υπουργός Εξωτερικών κ. Νικολά Ντιμιτρόφ, λίγες ώρες πριν την συνάντησή του με τον ΈλληναΥπουργό Εξωτερικών κ. Νίκο Κοτζιά, υποστήριξε πως «η Ελλάδα οφείλει να στηρίξει την “Μακεδονία” στην νέα συγκυρία, προκειμένου να εδραιωθεί η ασφάλεια στην περιοχή των Βαλκανίων». Ωστόσο, και οι διπλωμάτες και οι πολιτικοί της γειτονικής χώρας, γνωρίζουν πολύ καλά πως μια από τις προϋποθέσεις για να ενταχθεί η χώρα τους στο ΝΑΤΟ ή στην ΕΕ, είναι να λυθεί το πρόβλημα του ονόματος, πριν την ένταξή τους στους διεθνείς αυτούς οργανισμούς.
Η Σερβία εν τω μεταξύ με δήλωση τόσο του Υπουργού Εξωτερικών, όσο και του ίδιου του Πρωθυπουργού της, δηλώνει ότι έκανε μεγάλο λάθος που αναγνώρισε τα Σκόπια ως «Μακεδονία». Δεν είναικαθόλου απίθανο και ο Διεθνής παράγοντας, για δικούς του λόγους, να έχει αλλάξει στάση στο θέμα της αναγνώρισης του κρατιδίου με το συνταγματικό του όνομα.
Δεν πρέπει να ξεχνούμε ότι στην σύσκεψη των πολιτικών αρχηγών στις 13 Απριλίου 1992, συμφωνήθηκε (με εξαίρεση του Κ.Κ.Ε.) ότι η Ελλάδα θα αναγνωρίσει ανεξάρτητο κράτος των Σκοπίων μόνο μετην αυτονόητη διευκρίνιση ότι στο όνομα του κράτους αυτού δεν θα υπάρχει η λέξη «Μακεδονία». Όλα λοιπόν τα κόμματα, πλην του Κ.Κ.Ε., δεσμεύτηκαν να μην αναγνωρίσουν τα Σκόπια, αν στο όνομάτους θα υπάρχει η λέξη «Μακεδονία».
Επικροτούμε τις προσπάθειες του κ. Κοτζιά, που ζητά από την γειτονική χώρα να σταματήσει η «αλυτρωτική» προπαγάνδα της Σκοπιανής κυβέρνησης. Ωστόσο, παρατηρούμε ότι η προπαγάνδα εκ μέρουςκυβερνητικών φορέων των Σκοπίων συνεχίζεται ακατάπαυστα και αδιάλλακτα.
Πιστεύουμε ότι ένα σύνθετο όνομα για το γειτονικό κράτος θα καταστρέψει ανεπανόρθωτα κάθε προσπάθεια καλής γειτονίας με τον βόρειο γείτονά μας, από δική του υπαιτιότητα, και θα δημιουργήσειμελλοντικά απρόβλεπτες αποσταθεροποιητικές εξελίξεις στην ευαίσθητη αυτή περιοχή των Βαλκανίων.
Με αυτή την επιστολή ζητούμε από όλα τα κόμματα της Βουλής των Ελλήνων να ενημερώσουν επισήμως τον Ελληνικό λαό για την θέση τους στο ζήτημα της σύνθετης ονομασίας την οποία έχουνπροτείνει στο παρελθόν για τα Σκόπια και περιέχει τον όρο «Μακεδονία». Τονίζουμε οτι είναι καθήκον της Ελληνικής κυβέρνησης να υπερασπιστεί την εδαφική ακεραιότητα και την ιστορία της πατρίδαςμας, αποκλείοντας οποιαδήποτε ονομασία που συμπεριλαμβάνει τον όρο “Μακεδονία”.
